Mailing List for Affiliate Marketers

As an affiliate marketer who wants to make a comfortable living from referring your prospects to other people’s products or services for good commissions, then you really should consider building your own mailing list.

Building your mailing list of hungry prospects is probably one of the best investments you will ever make, it is definitely time and effort worth spent. When you begin a new Joint Venture with a new product or service to endorse, you need look no further than your own mailing list.

Most affiliates, that is more than 90 percent of them, are not making money from affiliate programs and this is usually because they focus most effort on least effective methods.

Whilst having your own mailing list is not the only effective affiliate marketing method, you can make affiliate sales very quickly. Probably in the next few hours after sending a sales message, when your mailing list is huge and responsive.

This is often true, because owning your own mailing list, so that you can endorse products and services, is one of the fastest ways of producing results. This will beat any other affiliate marketing method imaginable.

In a nutshell, the affiliate marketer who gets ahead of the pack is the one who owns a huge and responsive mailing list of prospects.

How To Convert Every Visitor into Subscriber

Converting Every Visitor into Subscriber

If someone your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will not come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget just where we were 10 web pages ago.

The bottom line is, that your visitor may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted even a fraction of these visitors into your customers.

Some people say, that creating unique content can keep some of the visitors coming back, but very often, unique content alone is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers to your mailing list.

Before a visitor leaves your website, you need to convert them into your subscriber, via a simple opt-in to your mailing list. You can do this, by asking for your visitor’s name and email address through an opt-in form.

If your visitor signs up to be added to your mailing list, you can follow up with an email. You can get your subscriber to reconsider your offer, or endorse another offer made to him or her.

All in all, you want to convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible and obtain any potential revenue you rightfully deserve – the easy, wise way.

How To Continually Grow Your Affiliate Checks

How To Continually Grow Your Affiliate Checks

Author: Jane Holloway.

The promise of earning profits without really doing much has enticed lots of people towards affiliate marketing. But does affiliate marketing really work this way?

As an affiliate, all that's required of you is to simply place the merchant's advert on your website. After that, you virtually do nothing, just wait for anyone to click on the merchant's advert and later collect your profits. Easy, right? Well, not quite! Many affiliates earn almost nothing from their affiliate programs simply because they do nothing. Remember affiliate marketing is just another form of marketing, and you'll definitely need to market your merchant's product to earn something.

Successful affiliates in any affiliate program simply don't just sit there and wait for the money to come rolling in. Why? Because there is no money in simply sitting and waiting. If you want to be successful in affiliate marketing and you want to continually increase your affiliate checks, you've got to do something. Think of ways of how to promote your merchant's business and products better. Think of ways of how to persuade people to click on the link or advert provided for you by your merchant. Think of ways of how to make your affiliate sales increase!

So if you're new to affiliate marketing and you try to follow the easy go lucky path that most unsuccessful affiliate marketers follow, then you're definitely on the wrong track. But we're not advising you to stop right there. No, rather, we want you to take some steps to make your affiliate program work better and earn more commissions for you. How? Here are a few guidelines that may help you to continually grow your affiliate income:

* Become an expert on your affiliate product.

You can promote your merchant's product better if you know a lot of things about it. To become an expert, the best thing you can do is purchase your merchant's product yourself. This way, you can tell your customers first-hand about the product. You can even write a testimonial or a personal endorsement advert about it. But if your circumstances do not permit you to purchase the product, you can at least do thorough research about it.

* Host your own website.

Or at least have a domain name that is short and easy to remember. You certainly wouldn't expect a visitor to remember a very long and incomprehensible URL. You also wouldn't expect him to visit your website any time soon. That means less traffic for your page and the less chance for your affiliate adverts and links being clicked.

It is also a good idea to create a private website and offer access to it, to anybody who clicks on any of your affiliate adverts. Visitors usually get interested with these private websites. Private websites also gives you a venue to promote your back-end affiliate products.

* Write your own affiliate adverts.

Many merchants don't mind if you write and design your own adverts for their products. As long as you ask permission from them and present your advert to them, before posting it on your site. This gives you a greater advantage over a lot of other affiliates, who will be advertising the same affiliate products.

* Participate in chat rooms, discussion boards, and forums related to your product.

If you used to ignore them before, then it is time for you to start focusing your attention on them. You can start your own chat or join an existing chat related to your product. You shouldn't promote your affiliate product at once, but find the chance to advertise and promote it as you go along. The same is true for message boards, discussion boards and forums.

* Create a free ezine or newsletter.

Ezines and newsletters are periodical publications, whose aim is to inform a group of people about a certain subject. In your ezines and newsletters, you don't always have to promote your merchant's product, as this could annoy your subscribers. Rather, find a way to insert your affiliate adverts and links into some part of the letter. Don't forget to promote your ezine or newsletter on your website.

These are just a few guidelines on how you can increase your affiliate sales and continually increase your affiliate checks. There are a lot of other tips out there and if you think they would work, we won't discourage you from following them. What's important is that you are able to find a way to:

  • Attract more traffic to your site.
  • Get visitors to click on the adverts on your site.
  • Be able to promote your merchant's products even outside your website.

If you can do these, there's no reason for you to fail in affiliate marketing.
